The underground water is drawn by a well by means of a pump, and the heat is then used. Subsequently, this water is channeled back into the soil by means of a drainage well. Underground water is an ideal source of heat since it maintains almost the same temperature all year long..
Cooling. Almost free cooling by means of Directcooling
For a calorific power of 10 Kilowatts, from 1500 to 1800 liters / hour of underground water are needed.
Cooling. The TERRA heat pump by IDM can also be used for cooling without any problems. Indeed, during the hotter times of the year, cold water is circulated through the heating tubes, thus achieving a room temperature that is always pleasant. Without any additional costs and, most importantly, without polluting.
... for the garden:
The surface of the soil used can be turned into a regular garden without any problem, as the system does not impair the growth of plants and shrubs. Regeneration is carried out by means of solar irradiance and rain.
... for heating
The lower the heating cycle temperature, the harder the heat pump has to work. Floor or wall heating is suitable with a minimum delivery temperature. For the renovation of old buildings, heating elements designed for low temperature are also suitable. (Recommendation: use IDM aluminum radiators with rapid thermal conduction).
... for designing your home
The TERRA heat pump offers very silent operation, does not need a lot of space nor a boiler, and consequently does not require a boiler room.
... for the permit
The construction of an underground heating system requires the authorization from the competent authorities. The application must be filed in due time, along with all the relevant documentation, prior to the start of the works.
